you can tell allot more from how a player is playing than how their team is a few weeks into the season...
like i said before. whats more likely. the lakers not making the playoffs or kobe not being able to keep a good average
kobe is a 1st team all nba player right now. hes playing the best basketball out of anyone in the league right now
no one else can top 27/6/4 on 55%fg's,45%3's,90%ft's
The "whats more likely" is irrelevant. The question wasn't who will be in the All NBA teams, it was "as of of right now," and when All NBA teams are selected, the voters do consider the record of the teams. How often have you seen a 1st team All-NBA selection include a player on a team tied for last in his conference? He may very well end up on 1st team, but "as of right now," that would not be the case.
If we go by your "whats more likely" statement, then Harden wouldn't stay on 1st team.
Marcin Gortat should be 3rd, or possibly even 2nd All-NBA team the way he's playing right now. Dude is beasting on both sides of the court. Leads the league in blocks by a HUGE margin, 4th in the league in rebounds, top 10 in shooting percentage(and the only other player that's put up anywhere near as many attempts as him in the top 10 right now is Dwight Howard), tied for 4th amount of double-double's in the league... etc
I don't see how Marc Gasol is better than him.
He has had better stats in some areas more than gasol, through 5 games. Gasol is putting up 17/7/5 along with 2 blocks a game. He is much more skilled and a better all around player than gortat. The grizzlies have zbo who grabs 15 boards a game. If he isnt on the team gasol is grabbing at least 13 a game. Marc is probably the smartest big man in the game, is one if not the best passing big, still beasts on defense without being very athletic, and can score anywhere inside the arc. Gortat is very good. But it is pretty dumb to say you cant see how he is better just by watching stats through 5 games.
