Hard to say. Against a team with size like the Lakers, it might actually be more beneficial to have a player like Ray Allen taking Wade's slot.

I agree. The Ray Allen signing is huge though. I think they could pull it off without Wade if they had to.

That's why they signed Allen. Not only is it a good insurance policy, but it allows Wade to get 100% healthy, without having to rush back into the line up to try and win some games. This was a fantastic signing.
