All y'all acting like Larry wouldn't dominate in this era, just look at those shots. Larry's defenders easily force him into tough shots, but he makes them anyway. He just makes them.
I don't think Larry would even get in position to post up against the stronger defenders.

Larry wasn't very strong.
He might be underrated in his strength. He battle Moses Malone for rebounds. Got into position against the likes of James Worthy, Cooper, Wilkins, Pippen, Rodman, Dr. J and Horace Grant.
Not much a prime/peak Bird couldn't do on a basketball court. Could watch this all day.

As great as LeBron is right now, if you put peak Bird in today's NBA he'd be the best player in the league. It'd be debatable, but I'd take Bird.
But yes, there's really not any era he would be worse than top 3 in the league if he was in his prime and/or at his peak. In the 60s, only two players who would have an argument as being better are Russell and Kareem; the 70s would only be Kareem; in the 80s, with another top 3-5 player all-time in his prime, Bird still had seasons where he was the best player in the NBA; the 90s, only Jordan and maybe '92-'95 Hakeem; and the 2000s, only 2000-2002 Shaq.
I guess it's highly subjective and depends on which versions of Bird you're using, but his peak was insanely good.
