Miami needs to stop half-assing these games and come out with a really strong attitude and effort in the first half. If they can just run up the score and basically wrap this game up, they can relax and coast through the second half. They really can't afford to NOT get the HCA this year.
Miami is all about half-assing on offense. Even in the playoffs they half-ass, it's so bad.
On the flip side they usually have no problems giving 100% effort on their defensive rotations, but that can only keep them in the game for so long.
Translation: Biased calls are ok as long as there in the first 45 minutes........... and against the Heat.
Most of those calls were for hammering Asik, and were pretty much obvious as the Heat didn't have anyone to protect the paint. They thought they could get away with hack-an-Asik, bit them in the ass.
OKC has done the same thing a few times. Down 11 to start the fourth to the f***ing Pistons and had to shoot their wad to pullout a close win. I find myself saying the same thing about them almost every game: "wish they would play with the type of energy they're playing with in the 3rd and 4th quarters in the 1st and 2nd quarters."
Exactly. In stead of putting yourselves into a whole and having to fight back and regain the lead, why not come out really strong and bury every team while the game is still young?

Damn. Can't believe Lin airballed that one. At least hit the rim so you won't get shamed. He's gonna get some real shit for it, and it's gonna pile. Meh.
Refs were bad with the late whistles multiple times, that was annoying. Lebron's work at the end and the Rockets defensive letups (letting Bron go for the dunk??), those were daggers. I'm not too surprised though, Rockets definitely have to learn to close better, right now it's awful. Coaching has done a bad job with Lin, need to build his confidence not break it, have to have him hold onto the ball more if he's to take that late shot.
Expected this to be a bit of a blowout, close game makes it tougher to swallow...
Yeah, especially when we get to see a player like LeBron come out and explode in the second half. But I don't think it's too fun for them. I just wish they'd take the regular season seriously and just destroy every team like they're supposed to.

Hey, we had to play Durant and Westbrook 44 minutes tonight against an 0-7 team. It could be worse for Miami. I think some of the good teams just coast for 2 or 3 quarters sometimes, keep it close, and let their talent takeover in the end.
