The way he's playing right now, he's not sniffing a top 5 list.

Wade's play really has me concerned. I've been hearing people say he looks better/springier than last season, but to me it looks like the opposite - I've never seen him look so slow and nonexplosive. Even during the playoffs last year when he was dealing with that knee injury, I thought he looked better physically than he has so far this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Wade was at the end of the effective portion of his career right now.

Wade, IMO was arguably top 5 last season, and I hate to say it but so far this season he has not been playing like a top 5 player, but there's still 75 games left so we'll see. LOL at Melo ahead of Wade or CP3 though.

Well then clearly, you need to get your eyes checked.

Ok? As if this isn't proving my point or something? By "effective portion", I meant superstar status, a label that belongs nowhere near his near his name so far this year. He'll still be a good player for a few more seasons, but his time as a superstar may already be over. He's at the '95, '96 Barkley stage right now.

What about plays like his blown dunk against the Rockets last night? The lane was completely wide open, Wade got to the basket, jumped... and didn't get high enough to dunk and blew the play. This kind of stuff isn't uncommon at all. Dunks from last year:

No sense of rationalizing with these niqqas. Dude's been clamouring Wade is going to fall off a cliff since 2008.

Wade's 'decline' has been gradual. And it's going to continue to be as such...

Wade's decline wasn't gradual at all, that's just factually inaccurate - it was pretty sharp and started last season; before then, we'd basically seen no signs of decline, just adjustment to a different role. I also never predicted Wade to fall off a cliff at any point - back in 2011, I actually thought he'd maintain his current level of play for at least a few more years and it was Lebron that I was scared about.

O rly?

Here are some facts for you.

PER 36 Splits

2010-11

24.8 ppg

6.2 rpg

4.4 apg

50% FG

2011-12

24.0 ppg

5.3 rpg

5.0 apg

50% FG

Pretty steep my ass, brah.

Like I said...Gradual....

When Wade stops converting field goals at or near a 50% clip, for FULL seasons, like he does every year, and is still doing so at the momment(and he usually doesn't even get start cooking until post-all star break), then you can hit me with some "sharp decline" nonsense. Till then, miss me with that drivel.

I'm just saying..
