Analysis: Dwight Howard for Andrew Bynum trade in retrospect
The Lakers made a good move trading Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard. Dwight Howard brings defense to the Lakers, and is especially critical in a Mike D'Antoni system.
Image Andrew Bynum's slow slowness in D'Antoni's system. It would be terrible. Howard and Nash pick'n'rolls would be much preferable.

Wait till he's 100%, Howard is a much better fit for us especially with Nash.
His defense will be instrumental. He is huffing and puffing out there; his elevation and quickness isn't at 100% either.
Mid-season, this guy will start annihilating teams (especially with playmakers like Kobe & Nash on the team w/ D'Antoni).
Re: Analysis: Dwight Howard for Andrew Bynum trade in retrospect
well Bynum hasn't played all season and when he does he's going to dominate. especially if they feed it to him as many times as they're saying they will. i swear Dwights offense is so lucky when he makes stuff but hopefully he'll get more rolls to the basket plays with Nash back. true Bynum would be awful in any running system but i think a healthy and force fed Bynum is the most dominating thing in the league.

It's really crazy how everything worked perfectly for the Lakers. Lakers took a big gamble holding onto Bynum after all his knee troubles. He finally had a "healthy" season, Lakers got Dwight Howard for him and now look where we are at.
