Question If Federal/State prisons allowed joint coop professional sports tream's with inmates

With over 2.3 million inmates in the US system

The NBA creates 1 team in their league for Fed/State inmates

Lets say all combined prisons can pick the most rounded prisoned athletes from their populace

Have tryouts, practices, etc behind walls in the yard

Players stay behind bars until game time, no post-game press, none of that

When they travel to arenas, heavily gaurded. Regardless of threat, people flood to watch, Americans love second chance stories

Their home arena is located in Vegas

All proceeds and every dollar in ticket sales for games, ads, retail: goes toward funding victims of crimes, communities, mental Illness, addiction treatment

Thoughts

Do you know how much prison respek you'd get if you killed an NBA player?

Sounds like something out of a movie

Why would a non-criminal athlete want to play against a team of criminals? Doesn't seem like anything good can come out of it.

Or how about for people that are convicted of unconscionable crimes (e.g. Murder rape) we stop wastime time and taxpayer money and put a bullet in them. I'm all for rehab of people that deserve a second chance.

1. They wouldn't be able to form a quality team.

2. Just because someone is big, black and muscular doesn't mean their athletic.

3. Criminals would be able to punch/injure moneymakers like baby face Steph. Not worth the risk.

They should do a televised prison-only league reality show. I wouldn't mind seeing some guys ball up on and off the court.
