I enjoyed 'Clear' quite a lot actually. It was awesome to see Morgan again and the wrap in with how he didn't 'kill' his zombie wife in the first episode which would lead to his son not shooting 'killing' her and then getting eaten by her was fantastic.

Character development from the 3 characters in the group was awesome, very excited for the next episode.

That was too unrealistic for my liking. I was rolling my eyes during his commentary of the situation.

My favorite TV series but I gotta admit, I'm getting tired of the music outro's ending each show.

Starting to take away from the feel of the show, don't know why but the addition of the music is making it feel more mainstream to me than when the series first started.

I know shows/ characters are supposed evolve, just not feelin' the music, especially when Hershel's daughter busted out like she was on The Voice.

not exactly an eventful episode, but well crafted enough. at least the "lets sit around and talk for an hour" episodes are actually progressing the plot this year, that's something anyway.

pretty dumb that Rick had the Governor dead to rights, unarmed, revolver in his face, and says OK, you got whiskey? shit let's talk then when it's just the two of em there though.

Also tired of seeing the good guys aka Rick's group in that prison (Tony Montana voice) "living like cocka roaches" while the Governor and his people are livin' high off the hog in the lap of luxury.

Just ain't right.

And yeah, once again opportunity arises to kill the Governor, once again he skates away safely.

Don't get it, when Herschel went on that drinking binge Rick blasted those dudes away in that bar w/ no problem when he perceived them to be a threat but now face to face w/ a guy he knows is a threat he doesn't do it.

I must say tho, the Governor has that white man swaggerish John Wayne walk down to a T.

Can't tell him shit.

I can see a number of reasons why he didn't shoot the Governor there with the most obvious being that it would have risked the lives of Daryl and Hershel.

And everyone else if they decided to go to war. Rick was actually trying to negotiate to avoid a war.

Bullshit. That's the most malleable group of zombie apocalypse survivors ever. Who's second in command? Milton the scientist? The dude that finally got some lines this week and they were all centered around bonding with Darrell? Obviously not Merle anymore.

Take out the Governor, walk in with his head on a stick, and there's absolutely no reason to think they wouldn't kiss Rick's feet. That's what's pretty obviously going to happen, so there's no reason to prolong it other than there's the rest of the season to fill.

I've thought the same thing for a while. But then I thought there isn't a lot of reason for Rick to know those things about Woodberry, even though we the audience know them. It is a weird imbalance.

I sorta liked this episode. Laying the two groups out like that in parallells was a nice touch. Maybe a little on the nose, but still a good structure. And their bonding, particularly with Daryl, was a nice nod to human power structure. Everybody is just following their orders, they want a leader to follow. They aren't inherently evil just because they're on the other side.

So, the suggested solution is to decapitate a leader just to demonstrate fear? That's the same thing the Governor currently is?

Rick is not that type of leader and is only becoming that slightly due to necessity. Besides, Rick is not out for 'power', he's trying to rebuild a society using the tools he has/knows as a law enforcement officer, not some crazy wackjob living out a fantasy.

Rick needs the people of woodbury more than they need to be afraid of him. Image a properly trained army of 20 with those resources? Imagine protecting an actual village?
