Who gives a flying fuck about ESPN and what they think ?

If you respect James and the rest of the NBA players, you would have valued and articulated your own objective opinion about them. ESPN uses propaganda and sells LIES for the majority of the time to sell a storyline, rather than just talk about the game.

They are a sales company, more than an objective media outlet. Then again, most media outlets are like that.

Celtics knocking off Cavs in '10 was one of the most satisfying results I've ever experienced as a fan.

Hence why I used the word similar and not the word same. All star players get media coverage, lebron's case is unique only in the sense that all of this content came from one show and two hosts over a ten year period.

I would like to see someone do a montage for jordan, shaq, and kg. These guys have all had interesting careers and public opinion changed drastically for all of them. Who wouldn't want to see the media label jordan as a selfish ballhog who would win never as long as he was scoring and taking as many as he did only to eat a heaping serving of crow when he went on to shit on the league and claim his crown as the GOAT.

The likes of Dirk, Peja, Parker, and Manu were just coming into their superstar form, the first time such a heaping of foreign players had experienced such success in the NBA, almost all of them emerging out of nothingness. By 2004, many assumed claims of foreign players becoming great - even without a lot of documentation to support such claims - were bound to come to fruition.

I finally understand... Euroleague lives in 2004

It's hilarious though seeing everything people used to say. That Wilbon guy made like 5 contradicting predictions on where LeBron was going.

He also said that Melo had more of an impact on his team's record in his rookie year than Bird did (at ~5:10 of the video).

The last thing I wanted to add, was everyone should notice how hyped Darko was back then. A lot of people today like to talk as if they knew he was going to be a bust, but the reality is, NBA scouts, coaches, and GMs all thought he was going to be great, so people claiming they knew all along are 99% full of it.
