How did the Spurs threw the game exactly? MIA only beat them during the final 22 seconds when Allen hit that three! That's not "throwing the game." That's "we're lucky tow in thsi one!" if you're Miamil.

I mean teams should look to be compete.

The outcome of the game doesn't matter, they sent a clear message that they didn't really care about this game.

If giving up one game makes you win 2-3 more games, why not? The reason to not give up games is that you usually cant be certain which are the games you will win and which are not. Theres a difference between something you can do and something you will do.

What planet are you from? I want my team to compete every night, not give up games because of some stupid ego trip.

If Stern let this slide, then someone like the Lakers can just rest their stars against the best teams and only let them play the scrubs. They'll still make it to the playoffs well rested.

Stern is right, competition is a "sanctity" of the game. If you can't compete like true professionals night in and night out, go home and stick to NBA2K.

Nope, because it doesn't help.

Teams should be allowed to play whoever they want to play, but resting all 4 on the same night as a Heat game on TNT.. that's going overboard.. rest 2 one night, 2 another..

Rest players.. just don't be blatant about it. Same with tanking.. tanking for draft picks or playoff seeds is normal.. but don't stand on the offensive side of the court for the entire game and allowing the other team to score freely each time. There are paying customers who deserve better.

Its funny to act like the spurs are the only team that do or did this.. suns sat steve nash on the second night of a b2bs almost every single time last year. Where was the bitching about it then? No one cares about the steve nash fans?

Nah this has nothing to do with the fans and teams already do what the spurs did only they either lie about it with fake injuries or are a shitty team that no one cares about.

This was about Sterns Ego.

What does that solve? Two different fan bases get to miss healthy players and he risks losing two games rather than one? Thats even worse. Let him coach his damn team and if it isn't in the rulebook get the **** over it.

Lot of team do it, they just have different names. For example in Washington itīs called "Whole Roster-Full Season".

Well I agree overall, he should be able to coach his team however he wants.. but IF he is forced to play some star players.. if the league is going to enforce some kind of thing like that.. spreading it around a bit seems more fairer to the fans, that doing all 4 in one night.. because those fans would have probably bought those tickets in advance.. thinking they'd see certain players and all 4 not playing on one night is jipping them.

Seeing Parker and Ginobili is better than missing all four. Then again, maybe the Heat fans were happy not to see any of them.. as long as they won.. but I know with most cities.. they look foward to seeing certain players.. that's why the seats are full when Heat or Lakers are in town, and empty when Detroit is in town.
