Default Let's be honest, the Lakers are not a lock for the playoffs

I mean come on. We're already 17 games into the season, not 5 games. This team is old and has very little depth to show for. Yes, I do expect them to make the playoffs, but it's not going to be a sure thing and it's not going to be easy in any way for them whatsoever. This team is just lifeless. With Gasol not being a star anymore, it's basically just Kobe and Howard playing with no depth. Who do they have on their bench?

Personally, I see them making the playoffs, but I dont see them making the finals with the way the team is currently playing.

We're gonna get good after the All Star break. I'd say we'll hit the 46-57 range depending on how well Nash does when he comes back

Yeah at the moment they're trash, but I do expect them to still make the playoffs. I mean, with Howard, Pau, Kobe and Nash on the same team, it would be one of the biggest let downs achievement wise in the history of the NBA for this Laker team to not even make the playoffs.

I expect them to finish 6th or so. OKC, Memphis, Clippers and the Spurs all 100% have them covered.. but anything could happen below that.

No way they don't at least get the 6-8 seed.

Let's be honest, there's too many "Let's be honest" threads after the Lakers lose a game.

I'd hate to be the number 1 or 2 seed and get the Lakers at 7 or 8... LOL.

Not if your the Clippers. They are salivating for the moment they finally play the Lakers in a playoff series.

I'm saying they are not a lock. Stern might try to help though.

Yes they'll make the playoffs, but they're just as likely to be upset by a lower seeded team
