When they figure out a set of rules that gives us 50-point games with two-hand touch they'll finally be satisfied.

4th and 15 is so much easier to convert than an onside kick. They really should just start playing flag football with any contact being a 15 yard penalty.

If they don't want to have kickoffs don't have kickoffs. Where the 4th and 15 comes in though is beyond me.

this is the kind of of shit that would cause me to start losing interest in the league.
I already like college football more as it is.

no it isn't, I saw stats on it they are both roughly around 20% odds
"surprise" onside kicks actually have a 60% chance of being successful though
but converting a 4th and 15, and a onside kick that the return team is aware of, is roughly the same odds
and I actually think running a 15 yard conversion would be more exciting to watch an onside kick
I'm not ready to call this idea horrible yet...

This would make for some awesome comebacks.
A player like Brady or brees would definitely have a better chance at getting a first on fourth and 15 then letting their team go for an onside kick.

14th and 15 is hard for any QB to convert...facing a dime defense that is basically in prevent formation...not easy

Keep kick offs and have an option of 4th and 15 instead of an onside kick

If the NFL does it as some kind of safety measure the NCAA will follow suit.

no because then you couldn't ever do a surprise onsides kick, since that would be ruled out
if they have it in punt formation then teams could do a fake punt at times for 15 yards...
