Default stupid question about shooting and practice.

if you can practice free throws, three pointers and difficult shots, WHY CANT YOU practice half court shots or grabbing a defensive rebound and quickly shooting it all the way down the court to the other basket? basketball is ALL ABOUT PRACTICE!

Imagine the implications of being able to shoot the ball IMMEDIATELY after you gain possession? 2 seconds or less! You would get 200% MORE possessions a game and easily be able to score 200 points a game.

The further you are from the rim shooting the lower your % will be, you can practice all you want you could probably boost it up to 12% not more.

If you miss there will a long rebound which will come straight back to your team in your own half . This means that your team will always be set on defense= no fast break opportunities for the other team. This tactic is actually legit
