Can we agree the Knicks are in the midst of a BRUTAL schedule

4 games in 5 nights without melo/amare/shumpert/camby. and after that it will be a game every other night. NO EXCUSES but wow the knicks hung tough tonight even w/o their best player

i don't know. the nets just played five games in seven nights, including going up against the #1 and #2 teams in the NBA (heat, thunder), making them both close games, and won the other three games, including against the knicks. meanwhile two of the nets' top big men (lopez, evans) were out for the last several games.

main dropoff last night was against the warriors, which i have no excuse for. although GS is quite a good team, so maybe no excuse is needed.

If they keep passing the ball and make 18/40 from outside, like they have been, the schedule won't make much difference. Sheed and Chandler have had significant impact on the defensive end.

@ Miami W
@ Chicago L
vs Denver
@ Brooklyn
vs Lakers

That's a really tough schedule,especially when you play without Melo,Amare,Shumpert and Camby. That's 3 starters and a bench guy.
Even if Melo comes back I doubt he'll be effective.

I hope we can go hold on and survive the next few games until Melo gets healthy. 2-1 in the next 3 would be terrific,even though it will be a tough thing to do.

This isn't college football. Everyone in the same conference gets the same schedule and within that schedule there will be some tough spots.

i would rather melo not risk any chance of reinjury. We have seen that this team CAN live without melo for a few games but why risk the chance of melo doing some real damage to his finger. I would rather be overly cautious w/ melo because he relies on a his 'touch' when it comes to shooting. If it was a tyson chandler, maybe a different story.
