I'd do it in a heartbeat, but why would the lakers do it?

although, if amar'e comes back looking something like his not last year self, then amar'e + shumpert for pau + filler would be a trade that'd make a lot of sense

Gasol wouldn't work off the bench. The same issues he has now would resurface in that role.

You wanna know where Amare would be great? On your team, and without giving up Varejao. If he was healthy he'd be worth his contract. He might still end up healthy. Obviously, the Cavs are not gonna trade a draft pick for Amare. Tho if there was reason to believe he'd be healthy the next 2 1/2 years he'd obviously be worth it.

Irving pick n' roll, Varejao's rebounding and defense and ability to defend inside as well as keep the lane clear on both sides...Amare would be in Heaven.

Trade one big with banged up knees for another who's knees are about shot and hasn't played this year? Makes sense. LOL.

A Nash/Amar'e/D'Antoni reunion is about 3 years too late.

if I were to trade Amare id rather the trade him for Anderson Varejao and a additional guy, will help with the knicks lack of rebounding, I dont think we need more scorers anymore.
