Default Rockets/Jeremy Lin at Knicks Dec 17

There will be no Garden video tribute for Linsanity tonight. But it’s OK for the fans to give the struggling Jeremy Lin his own tribute — a nice ovation in his Garden return as a Houston Rocket.

Raymond Felton, Lin’s replacement, and Steve Novak, one of Lin’s best friends, have given their blessing.

It may even be OK to dust off the old No. 17 T-shirt/jerseys — for nostalgic purposes only. It’s OK to fondly remember the 48-day Linderella story weaved from Feb. 4 to March 24 — until Lin hurt his left knee against Detroit, forcing him to undergo left knee surgery.

Really? I personally dont care. Although I was a supporter of Lin and wanted him to succeed here (obviously not at the price) I have no emotional attachment to him and the game. If he were in the East maybe. Out of sight out of mind.

Honestly could care less, he got paid, he got what he wanted.

I hope the team doesn't focus all their effort on Lin again.

I want this game but not so badly. Unless Lin goes off for 40+ and hits a game winner I wouldn't be mad with a loss.

But on the other hand there is a game I badly want us to win and that's on Wednesday against BROOKLYN.

I agree I have stronger feelings to beat Brooklyn than the Rockets. They are in our backyards eating all the burgers and trying to take our women!

Really Ra thats a little over dramatic! Prozak much?

It's a fun competition and I hope we both stay relevant for years to come.

Its not just about Lin. It's about the fact that they killed us and now they're killing us again. They've embarassed us twice and we dont get to redeem ourselves until next year.

As for his former teammates, Lin hugged each of the Knicks’ five starters before the opening tap. But he received one hard “welcome back” when Tyson Chandler leveled him and drew a flagrant foul for a smack to the head on one Lin drive in the second quarter.

“I totally understand. When someone comes in your lane you want to make sure they think twice about coming back. He hit me hard, but I still kept coming. It was fun. It was friendly. It wasn’t malicious. I got to talk to him after the game. Tyson was like a big brother to me last year. So it was fun to play a game (against) him.”
