HE probably will be. Kobe's longevity is overrated. Like 8 of his seasons don't even count because he was a nobody. I always lol when people say he is in his 17th season, lol like he was even good for half of them.
You are overdoing it. Trolling is an artform you are ruining.
BTW, I 'm not sure as to what you'd like to achieve with all this. Do you happen to think you are very original? Funny? Both? You are mature because you don't believe all the false Kobe hype? Is that what you think? You are on a crusade and the world is going to be a better place after you will have convinced the population they were adoring a false god? Is this what you believe?
Because what I believe is this: You are not very successful in real life, so you spend half of your time trolling on the internet to feel less miserable. I'm not sure I'm right, but I'm sure that's what you look like.
Screw that shit. There should be a big asterisk next to this. (though nobody really gives a crap, but Kobe fans anyway) If you take 41 shots and can't reach 30 points than you suck ****ing ass.

Spoken like someone who didn't watch the game. Kobe takes 40 shots every game. The difference in that game was he got no FTs, side from a technical foul, despite being hammered on at least 5 occasions while driving to the rim.
Kobe had his 10th straight 30+ point game tonight. The tenth double digit streak of 30 or more points since 1985-86.
Most consecutive 30+ point games since 1985-86
Kobe Bryant, 2002-03: 16
Tracy McGrady, 2002-03: 14
Shaquille O'Neal, 2000-01: 11
Michael Jordan, 1986-87: 11
Kobe Bryant, 2012-13: 10
Lebron James, 2005-06: 10
Michael Jordan, 1990-91: 10
Michael Jordan, 1989-90: 10
Karl Malone, 1987-88: 10
Michael Jordan, 1986-87: 10
Backs up my thoughts about 02-03 Kobe Bryant being the best version of Kobe as a player.

What are you talking about ? He did get to 30+ with those 41 shots.
Just look at that, who would have thought Kobe would be chasing his own record 10 years later with 10 straight so far. I feel so glad to be able to grow up watching this guy play.
It is pretty crazy, but I hate all these stats since 1985 blah blah blah. Makes it seem like the NBA didn't exist before that. Wilt must shit on this record btw

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. He's even too lazy to google Kobe's stats if he doesn't know much about the NBA.
How many streaks were there that were longer than 16 by someone other than Wilt?
I don't think there were any but I can't confirm this offhand. Baylor/Robertson are decent possibilities; Kareem, Erving, Gervin and West are also remote possibilites, though I don't think there's anybody else (maybe Tiny Archibald?). I'll check them when I have a chance, unless someone finds out in the interim.
Kareem with 16 in 1971-72 season. And if for one game of 27 he could have it in 25.
Hey, haven't spoken with you in a while. I've been busy doing work for nbastats.net so I haven't focussed so much on the Russell-Wilt spreadsheet. I flew out to California to visit my campus a few weeks ago, but the SF Chronicle editions that would be useful were on reserve and had to be ordered.
I can verify the info in the Wilt spreadsheet is correct if you want to add it to the spreadsheet (as for the block/steal/turnover numbers, those were cited directly by newspapers; any estimates that seem inconsistent with actual game film are due to error by statkeepers/reporters (who would continue to report the same numbers after they became official, as they were already recorded).
BTW I do have a mechanism for accessing newspapers from Oakland, which might be helpful for the matchups during Wilt's years in SF. I'll PM or e-mail you the details later.
Cool list! I just went to rep you but it appears that feature is gone. It's still a couple of weeks away, but it would be incredible if Kobe could get to at least 15 (as he'd hold the top two spots in the modern era alone, two years apart).
