Re: Was T-Mac a Point-Forward?
ball dominant SG.
THe underlying premise behind a point forward is that you are a forward that primarily looks to create for others before looking for their own shot.
McGrady was player that looked for his shot first, second and third, and when he couldn't get it, he would pass. In Orlando, he got 5+ assists a game because of the amount of double teams he constantly saw. In Houston, he had one or two years with 6 assists, but having a big man like Yao who shot an extremely high percentage, that is to be expected
This has been debated before on ISH, just because he brings the ball up the court doesn't make him a point-forward
