that's what they just said on NFL Net radio...that Fisher might be the new first tackle taken and Luke might not be a top-5 pick any more

also news of a heart condition for Star Lotulelei has his stock dropping

Barkevious Mingo ran a 4.60 40. That's very fast for a DE. What an athlete.

305 pound OT Terron Armstead running a 4.65 40 is still the most impressive thing to happen at the combine so far this year IMO.

I'm also not really sure how people can say Luke Joeckel had a bad combine. I think Fisher is better, but Joeckel didn't have a bad combine at all.

And holy shit, SMU DE Margus Hunt is an insane athlete. 6'8", 288 pounds and he ran a 4.60 forty. I know he's insanely raw but I'm not sure why NFL teams aren't all over this guy, he's a freak.

I don't think they used the word "bad" when they were discussing things...more to the point that he was shown up by Fisher at the combine and that could drop out of the top-5

That's a horrible comparison no offense. Hunt has the ability to play as a 3-4 defensive linemen and is more of a complete player(having the ability to be a factor against the run). I saw some highlights of the guy and he reminds me alot of Justin Smith. I think this guy is going to be good although he might be raw coming in. I think San Fran would be a perfect place for him. Niners need depth on the d-line and J-Smith can take him under his wings.

Gholston was a pure athletic freak who was a tweener type of player. Did you meant to compare him to Mingo?

Hunt at this point is a top 10 pick based on his physical attributes, but his on the field play warrents 4th round or later.

Which is way I said Gholston. It was nothing about style of play, more of a Workout Warrior type of thing. Combine guys who don't match the tape.

also hearing that Cooper might have surpassed Warmack as the best guard in the draft...

They're both different guard prospects. One is an athletic prototype pulling guard with insane short area athletic ability, that being Cooper....the other is a straight up bull dozer in the run game with good pass protection ability to boot.

Warmacks tape is still superior. That hasn't changed.....but Cooper is still a special prospect.

supposedly the 49ers already have a deal in place for Alex Smith, they just have to wait for the March 12th official start date to announce it.

and most are saying it is the Chiefs

I am thinking the Chiefs are giving away a 2nd or 3rd for Alex Smith, so you can erase Geno Smith going #1 overall
