Default Details on the whole Raptors/Thunder possible lottery pick this summer?

How does it work then? Heard somebody say OKC can pass on it if it lands at a certain number. Do Raptors keep it if it is top 3-4? Anything 4-14 the Thunder get it? Anybody know the full details?

If the Raptors' pick ends up being either 1-3 or 15-30 they keep the pick and the following year the protection drops to 1-2 or 15-30, and so on.

If the Raptors' pick falls anywheres between #4 and #14 it belongs to OKC.

I'm being told Toronto's pick really isn't that valuable to OKC because of how weak this draft class is going to be. So, to be blunt, who cares?

Not really inrigued by any player in this years draft other than Shabazz, Noel, and Zeller, which im almost sure, all 3 of those guys will be a top 3 pick. CJ McCollum would be nice too if the pick landed around the 7-13 range.

If the Toronto's pick this year is either 1-3 or 15-30, OKC will get Toronto's first round pick next year with slightly less protection and so on. Might end up getting a pick in a stronger draft.

I'm aware. That was tongue-in-cheek. People in the other OKC thread were saying this draft pick really isn't that valuable because of how weak this draft class is. You know, because apparently OKC needs some mega stud to go with their already star-studded line-up.

I'd still be ok with the pick falling in the 5-10 range of this year's draft. I'd prefer top 5 so we could for sure get someone like Alex Len or Rudy Gobert, but in the 5-14 range there's still some players that could be nice pieces for OKC off the bench.

Ideally, though, if OKC doesn't trade the pick, Toronto will land in the top-3 and the pick will roll over to 2014 in a deeper draft.

What do you mean who cares? Are you really trying to play it off that you wouldn't care if a contender you obviously cheer for got the number one pick in the draft? Or a top three?

Ummm yeah...read my other post. It's right above your post and was made more than 30 minutes before your post, so it was there for you to read, too, before you posted this.

And number one or top three pick would be great, but that can't happen this year because the pick is top three protected. And it can't be number one until like 2018 because it's either top two or top one protected until then.

Clearly misread but getting anywhere from a four to 14 would be great for a contending team that doesn't need the next superstar to win a title.

Downplaying this is silly. Like I said when the draft happened, Houston got ROBBED.

BTW redundant sarcasm is terrible.

A decent center would make the Thunder a million times better.
