A frontcourt of Cousins and Howard could be nasty. Maybe Cousins will give us that bit of an edge that we need to win. I am certain that Sacramento would do this trade straight up.
And let me add this: If Gasol comes up soft against Blake Griffin and the clippers on Friday, for me that seals the deal about him needing to go.

Absolutely not. Cousins has no range, and his post game is nothing spectacular over Gasol's (I prefer Gasol's post game TBH). He is a volatile individual that is trouble in the locker-room, and he would not be fair value for Gasol straight up. Heck, I would take a healthy Boozer over Cousins for regular season, and I don't consider Boozer a top 50 player in the NBA.
If DeMarcus Cousins gets his act together then it would be a fair trade. The issue is still that he has no range. Howard and him would be getting in each other's ways on offense. Maybe if we had no Howard and required a center, I may consider Cousins for Gasol. We already have a true center that is the best in the NBA. Respectfully, Cousins is not right for this team and this system.

LF, you're still young, you can coach the Lakers one day, you couldn't do any worse than our last 2 coaches, at least you know how to work inside out and would work on defense & pick and roll........just something to think about
