Default Re: Images of Tehran, Iran you don't see every day

Don't blame the current leader of Iran, he is a nut job but the facts are they had a very moderate leader who was willing to play ball with the US before him and the States wouldn't give him the time of day. The people then became more nationalist and supported a hardliner as so many countries do when pushed to their limits, if you dont believe me then why did the US re-elect the worst and most unfit president ever in 2004...because he was a hardliner and 9/11 pushed many to their limits.

The facts are simple:

The Iraq war has more to do with Iran than Iraq, getting in position to get into position so to speak.
The goal was never to control Iraq it was to keep it just unstable enough that the US will need to keep bases there for the next 100 years which will serve the dual purpose of containing or attacking Iran (no fly zones, strategic bombings etc...).
Also to keep the Sunnis and the *****es just engaged enough so that Iran (*****e) can get dragged in or linked to an attack at a time when they need to be villified (ie the USA needs to attack them). The US currently cannot afford to attack Iran, but it is getting into position to pacify them which will in turn pacify the entire region (the longterm plan).
Iran was always the goal, and any geo-political research will prove the same finding. Iraq and Saddam were simply pawns in the game, used and discarded when they wore out their welcome.

Every empire has tried to pacify the middle east and been unsuccessful, and assuming this may lead to the demise of the American Empire is not as far fetched as it may seem. In the next two generations we could see a major shift in global influence. The true advantage of Western countries is money and if the rest of the world catches up then the West could isolate itself from the much more populous areas of the world and lose influence/power.
