im not sure there is anybody better in the league at switching hands on a layup, while in mid-air. he keeps the defense guess until the last second, and creates openings at the rim when the defenders are off-balance.

it looks like its only a tiny bit of space at the rim, but the defenders are off-balance, so they cant really go after his shot, and try and block it.

thats not a perfect example, but its the best gif i could find to illustrate what im trying to say.

It's generally the James superfans who insist on discussing his former team and how terrible they were, even in threads which have nothing to do with him. Amazingly, this is the same group who bellowed "get over it" any time a Cavs fan referenced him in anything but the most positive light.

I have absolutely no interest in discussing James or the Cavs' roster from five years ago.

This thread is about the current Cavs. Let's stay on message.

Interesting.

He does seem to confuse people when he's driving and he seems pretty crafty with his layups.

Dude you're a troll if you actually believe that crap or you just didn't watch Cavs games. He was lazy at times but he sure wasn't horrible.

I want to finally see a Rose vs Kyrie match this year. It never happened at all last year.

Eh it's not like he is all athleticism like Wall/Westbrook. Those amazing floaters, up and under, off glass, reverse layups are all skill. As long as 90% of his elevation/quickness is there he will be fine. No other PG besides Kyrie can make those kind of shots in the paint.

Bulls just neeed more shooters and finishers to push the pace, they are a terrible fastbreak and 3pt team, which is not good in the playoffs.

True but you have to blow by someone to get most shots like that, hopefully he heals like Adrian Peterson

Hope so, but I heard AP had a different kind of surgery while Rose opted for the typical ACL repair. That's why he came back in 9 months while Rose is still out.

We will see after the All-Star break, though I expect him to be rusty as hell, his work ethic is Kobe esque but being out so long will hurt his game considering he needs to be in top shape to make those shots.

i guess the good thing about having kyrie as your best player means more chances at high draft picks. eventually they will get another #1, and they can build around kyrie and the next 3-4 lottery picks

His game is very casual, to the eyes nothing seems spectacular. But he is very very good at everything.
