Can't you understand this simple thing?

IIRC, the Skins OL was ranked in the 20s and below the Colts for pass blocking. Don't pretend like we've had some sort of good OL. **** all the BS excuses, RG3 has been flat out better than Luck this year.

Isn't that a roundabout way of saying one supporting cast isn't much better than the other?

Our 2 best receivers missed about half the season, and our top receiver barely had over 600 yards. There wasn't much consistency. Our OL is not as good as you may think.

I'm disappointed in the Seahawks, I expected more out of their offense tonight

Huh? I'd rather have the Redskins running game, WR depth (bit of a drop-off after Wayne unless the good T.Y. Hilton shows-up), and offensive line. Both defenses are bad.

F***, this has gotten out of hand. I've said multiple times how good I thought RGIII was this year, I'd vote for him for ROY, etc. This all started because BrickingStar said Griffin's and Wilson's stats were a lot better so Luck wasn't on their level or as good as them this year. All I've been trying to do is show him why Luck's individual stats don't really do him justice this year and indicate how good he really was. By pointing out horrible Indy's offensive-line was, how inconsistent and bad (a lot of games) their running game was, and having a Swiss cheese defense, I wasn't trying to make it seem like the Redskins or Seahawks were stacked. I just think, as a whole, Luck's supporting cast (offensive line, WR's/TE's, RB's, defense) was worse than Wilson's or Griffin's.

Luck was passing the ball nearly 40 times per game, too, compared to 26 times for Griffin, and about 25 for Wilson. Can't remember the article I read (just came across it on another message board a month or so ago comparing Luck's and Griffin's seasons) but Luck also threw the ball downfield a lot more. And it wasn't just because he constantly ignored the shorter routes and underneath stuff either. Bruce Arians wasn't really doing him a lot of favors with the play calls and play designs (got a lot better about halfway through the season though), and rarely did they run screen passes or provide Luck with a RB to checkdown to on run plays -- the latter being mostly because all of Indy's backs are terrible receivers. He wasn't given typical rookie QB treatment, either. He was given the playbook from day one and was told to learn it. He was allowed (for better or worse) to do a lot more audibling and play changing at the LOS than Grffin and Wilson. Depending on how you want to look at it, Luck was fortunately or unfortunately asked to shoulder more responsibility from than the other two; or at least he was from the time they were drafted through the early part of the season, that may have changed later in the season.

Again, I never said Wilson and Griffin didn't have great rookie years and I never said Luck deserves ROY over either. All I've tried to do is point out why using Luck's stats compared to Wilson and Griffin's stats to conclude Luck wasn't on their level this year isn't all that fair to Luck. I think all three are going to be very good pro QB's. I don't know and don't think we have enough evidence to say who will be the best of the three. All three are fun to watch, though, and i'm glad we'll get to enjoy them for the next decade more if they stay healthy.
