This is why I feel Peterson isn't the MVP.

In situations like this, down 14 heading into the second half.... Peterson is a prisoner of the situation. They're going to have to pass to get in a position to win this game.

Conversely, Brady/Manning/Rodgers in these situations thrive. They can bring it back in a blink of an eye.

I'll lead the chant for McLeod Bethel-Thompson! McLeod Bethel-Thompson! McLeod Bethel-Thompson! Give him the reigns for the second half!

I disagree. Without AD they wouldn't have even sniffed the playoffs and would be battling for the #1 pick in the draft. Brady, Manning and Rodgers have a ton of talent around them while the Vikings have AD and Harvin when he was healthy. You have a plethora of qb's that have the value of what AD has done, but no other running back has been as fundamentally valuable to his team as AD is to the Vikings. Take those three qb's off their teams and I think those teams still have the talent to not be competing for the worst record in the NFL. I don't think you can say the same with the Vikings minus AD.

But if they were winning it'd be great to just give the ball to AP and watch him move slowly down the field while the clock ticks down on the other team.

Sure, in theory. In practice, it doesn't work out like that pretty much ever. All it takes is one rush for no gain and all of a sudden you're behind the down and distance and end up throwing the ball to maintain the drive.

I have always wondered and i am sure voters will never admit it but do you think post season performance has any affect on the outcome of regular season mvp if it is so close like this?

Bad play calling, and a poor effort by Andy dalton doomed us. Another year gets added to the playoff drought.

If anyone wants jay Gruden as their coach....they can have him.

If you're talking about bringing him in for Minnie it only works if they're giving up on Ponder. Tebow's surrounding hype is too much for an unestablished starting QB to deal with. Orton in Denver and Sanchez in NY were both hurt by the pressure his fanbase generates.

Jacoby Jones not returning punts, I wouldn't want to either after what happened last year.

Luck has to start making some throws and stop holding the ball. Terrible start for him.
