As usual, most people assume that the Patriots with there home field will automatically coast to the conference championship game because of Tom Brady.
As I said before, the Texans are the most balanced team in football with no glaring
weaknesses. They have the best pass rush of all the remaining teams and history tells us that the most effective way to stifle the Patriots offense is to disrupt Brady and take him out of his rhythm. Don't underestimate Wade Phillips
You're gonna be in for a surprise Sunday afternoon. Brady is gonna have a frustrating game and will be playing catch-up in the fourth quarter.
The only thing Baltimore has going for them is their experience. Their defense is past their prime & Flacco is not as good as he has shown us in the last 2 games.
This. Flacco will go back to being Flacco next week and the Patriots will win something like 38-13.
It's amazing how much your team plays a role in your own legacy. If Seahawks did not have that late defensive collapse Russell Wilson would be a NFL hero right now and in the "next legend" discussion, but instead, nothing. And Matt Ryan would be in the "biggest choker" discussion had Pete not tried to ice the kicker.

Yes.
If the Seahawks defense and special teams play like they have all year, the amount of hype and deservedly so around Wilson would be thru the roof.
Or if the Falcons kicker misses the feild goal, we'd be talking about how Matt Ryan hasn't won in the playoffs all next year, even though he did his job by getting his FG kicker in a positon to kick the GW field goal.
It's silly, actually.
I think no more or less of Russell had the Seahawks won or lost. His play speaks for itself regardless of the outcome, which is the way it should be.
He doesn't become a superhero with a win and an afterthought with a loss.

Completely agree. It's just astonishing how flawed public and media perception can be. I wish everyone thought and based their evaluations on an individual based on individual play rather than team outcome. It should be common sense, but for some reason no one gets it
