Unhappy Every Single Hour in Los Angeles, Pau Gasol is Mistreated...

--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=jCNUZnFcycQ <--

Watch the video.

He's an all-star, champion, olympian, and a future HOF-er. Yet he's completely misused in the Lakers offense, and treated like shit by fans. Kobe calls him out, and D'Antoni benches him at the end of games. It's not only disrespectful, but also a waste of talent.

Of course.. Pau is a nice guy and too much of a team player to ever complain about his role but it's obvious he's not be used correctly. Why in earth would you have one of the most skilled bigs and one of the best low post players in the game stand on the perimeter for the sake of spreading the floor? Pau has a decent mid range jumper but that's not his strength and he's by no means a 3pt shooter!!

I don't understand why they don't have Pau work in the low post along with Dwight.. I understand that D'antoni is not a fan of that but you need to adjust to your talent and not make 7footers adjust to your system. Many teams do this as well and it's a blessing to have 1 dominant 7footer let alone two with Dwight and Pau.

Like I said before Pau needs to be used as a low post scorer, used off the pick like was his whole career. Don't forget that Pau was dominating in the olympics by using his skills in the post and not on the 3 point line. But of course you have idiotic Laker fans who blame Pau for everything and fail to see anything besides the black mamba.

The way Pau is being used is so illogical. A 7footer who never even shot behind the 3point line in his career suddenly is being used as a perimeter player. Again most teams would absolutely dominate with two 7footers like Pau and Dwight. Imagine the Spurs having Pau next to Tim? Or dwight next to Tim?

Just trade Pau as it's obvious that he's the scapegoat for the team. If they are going to continue with D'antoni's system it's probably the best for both parties. Please trade for Amare, would love Pau in NY!

He's needed to go since the 2nd half of the 2010 - 2011 season when he VISIBLY stopped trying. Gasol giving up that season (after playing REALLY well to start the year) is the reason the Lakers didn't compete.

Shannon Brown boning his fiance, and Vanessa Bryant snitching on it, ruined his LA career. Plus, it's obvious he hasn't liked Kobe since 2008 or 2009 when the relationship was still fresh. Kobe took him for granted, and started critiquing him publicly too much. Gasol's fragile psyche couldn't take it.

He lacks motivations. And it isn't a sharp decline in abilities. I saw him BALL in the 2012 Olympics for Spain. Ship him out for youth and athleticism. That's what the Lakers need, anyhow.

I agree, best for both sides. Pau starts fresh, will dominate if used correctly and LA gets their 3pt specialist.

and then LA gets swept in the playoffs and Lakers fan will continue to bash Pau

Its unfortunate how the one who was worth as much as Kobe during Lakers 2 titles run from 09-10 gets dissed at this point of his career.

Again, how?

What if Kobe was asked to change his role to become a primary ball distributor instead of his current scoring role? He'd struggle just like Pau is currently struggling.

Difference is that Kobe would never be asked to change his role and he'd never do it while Pau does it without hesitation.

Sources say it was because of the whole off the court issues involving Gasol's fiance, Shannon Brown, Vanessa Bryant, and Kobe Bryant. That's when chemistry issues started to develop, and things took a turn for the worse. They have YET to recover. On court chemistry issues between him and Bryant, and then the way he's been used in a system w/ Andrew Bynum under Mike Brown, and now his alienation for not being motivated and in shape to run in D'Antoni's offensive system just threw gas on the flames.

You're busy ranting about Kobe. I'm not saying I disagree that Kobe should change his approach and philosophy THIS season. What I'm SAYING is that Pau Gasol on the Lakers hasn't played like Pau Gasol of 2008 - 2010 since December of 2010.

Kobe has been nothing but supportive of Pau. The only reason he says anything about him is because he knows how great he can be. He's expressed on multiple occasions how thankful he is that the Lakers got Pau and how he looks at him like a brother because Pau helped him win 2 titles.

I'm not ranting on Kobe, I'm just saying that Pau's role has changed to a role he's not comfortable in and I used Kobe as an example. Would Kobe be as effective as a player playing as a distributor? Would Dwade be effective as a 3point specialist? Would Durant be as effective being used as a low post scoring PF? Probably not...

The off court problems may have had a problem with his play but I think the "decline" emerged with the emergence of Bynum which saw Gasol's prominence and role be slowly diminished. Bynum started to become the second option and he became the player in the post for LA.. Then they traded for Dwight who replaced Bynum as the main guy in the post for LA. He's not being used as a low post player or a #2 option guy anymore and that's where the decline of Pau and the Lakers as a team has occurred. Notice how they were championship level teams with Pau being the #2 guy and the main guy down low, Bynum during the championship years was non-existent practically..

It ain't the offense. He sucked for the past 2 years now. In the 2011 playing under Phil and the Triangle and last year with Mike Brown and his stupid offense. Pau is done. I wouldn't want him on my team. I wouldn't even give Richard Jefferson up for Pau.

Meh that's not fair to say, did you see him tap LeBron ass in the summer during olympics, its the coaches fault for putting him on the 3 point line
