There are a couple of things going on here. First, as bad as the Wiz are, they are still an NBA team and on any given night can compete w any team in the league. You are this all the time in all sports. Secondly, many teams have let downs and don't take bad teams seriously. Again, you see this in all sports. None of this should come as a surprise to anyone.

They won last night without their leading scorer (Crawford) and their best player (Nene).

They beat both teams last year as well.

No, they have bad players, too. They just got lucky and the teams they played had bad days.

They're much better than their record, so great teams that don't care about the regular season may not show up that day, and may get taken by surprise... but they're still bad.

They've had 2 or 3 starters out, plus John Wall, pretty much the entire season. Healthy, though, the best they can hope for is a 7-8 seed in a weak conference.

Yeah thats a good point, the Wizards have been horrendous for the past 3-4 seasons with this much talent/potential. Whose fault is it?
