You're joking right? In this day an age with such a potent front court why would you destroy that? Z-Bo and Marc Gasol is a great duo, and although they didn't do all that much in the playoffs last season I wouldn't be throwing that away
The Grizzlies are not shopping Zach Randolph in trade talks.
A report from the Memphis Commercial Appeal noted that Randolph's name had come up in exploratory trade conversations, but it sounds like other teams were inquiring on Z-Bo only to be told that he's not going anywhere. The Grizzlies are more likely to trade Rudy Gay if they're going to break up the core.

At this point they're in the middle of the pack in the Western Conference. To be contenders you have to be considered up there with the Thunder, Spurs and Clips. I don't blame them for wanting to get rid of Gay, but I still think the Zbo-Gasol chemistry is something special enough to keep.
The Grizzlies FO are dumb@ssez. Zbo is seriously a monster this year and by far their best player in my opinion. Maybe trade Gay if you get somebody competent in his place, Boston would give up Paul Pierce I bet. Thats a serious way they could cash in and try to win now. They need his go-to-scoring skills in late game situations.
This team is in the same position as the Thunder in 2010. A year or two from being a legit contender. Shopping Rudy Gay is one thing. I have no issue with tha. But shopping Z-Bo would be beyond stupid.
trying to get under the tax is undestandable for a small market team. But not when you are playing the best ball with the best team you have ever had. In the middle of the season? stupid. I think all this talk is just to light a fire under their asses for having such a bad month. At the end of the year they dont make WCF, then one is going. But wait to see what they can do. its a catch 22 with who you trade. Rudy is younger and has more trade value. Zbo is over 30 but is still beasting. Grizz fans have been dreading this situation for over a year now.
