All Avery ran was iso ball for Deron and Joe. He had favorites too. P.J yells at everyone. Avery ripped MarShon, Taylor, and the younger guys. P.J emphasizes more ball movement and does not allow any Net to give Brook the ball when he's posting more than 10 feet away from the basket. He actually has a system in place rather than saying "Let's give Deron/Joe the ball and move out the way".

But now that he's stringed together four really great games, I want to shine some light upon it. If people can pick on someone when they fall, they should be able to praise them when they rise. This is simply what I am doing now. Keep on rocking D-Will.
Then why not just rep D-Will? You can't scold people for doubting D-Will when you were selling D-WILL SUCKS t-shirts last month? I worry about you.

I'm not scolding people for scolding D-Will. I said that was 100% acceptable. I'm scolding people for going back into their caves after seeing D-Will go into beast mode as of late.

Why don't people understand that?
Because it makes no sense because you are scolding yourself.
Don't scold me, i said the most important person on that team is Deron and he needs to be the one controlling the offense for the Nets to be good. So i can stay out of my cave...

He's shooting 52% from the field, and 50% from 3 during this 4 game winning streak. I love how the haters all went back to their moms basement after they realize that Deron Williams is back.
20 points, 9 assists, 52% fg, 50% from 3, and he's also snatching a respectable 4 rebounds a game during the month of January.
Haters, it's time to come out of you're caves and watch the Nets own.
LOL why you get some worked up? Lebron and Durant have had those streaks for dozens of games. He is one of the more inconsistent point stars in the game today, and not even a top 5 point guard. The Nets will lose in the second round of the playoffs at the very best.
Re: D-Will averaging 20/9 on 52% shooting in January.
After he held himself accountable for his poor play and said he needed it pick it up he has been great.
D-Will is still an elite point, even with his streaky shooting. His playmaking and passing is still top notch and if he can get his shooting touch back and keep feeding Lopez instead of allowing JJ to be iso-Joe then the Nets could really make a run.

Yes Yes...run to Inside Hoops in pursuit of affirmative and approval regarding your fallen pseudo-superstar.

wtf I thought he had surgery, but maybe that was some fakkit on here with a misleading thread title about another Williams...maybe Mo? Damn, that's it.

I'm glad he is playing better.
nice to hear other fans being positive about d-will. we're definitely getting an upsurge of effort and attitude in the wake of PJC becoming the head coach. just hope he doesn't alienate the players like in the past.
but overall PJ does seem to be a more on-the-ball coach who wants you very much to succeed as a player but who gets right to the point about things. very refreshing after hearing the tired old "we battled... we have to look at the positives... we'll get better eventually" lines that avery was in love with throwing out there.
and a new article about this stuff in the latest GQ of all places:
