If we are being ridiculous than lets say Carlos Gomes because he has much more of a legit argument than Puig.

btw in the AL front I'm surprised that people are already arguing in favor of Trout due to his WAR advantage. I think Trout has a better claim last season than this one. He is playing more in LF this season and hasn't had as great a season in the field as he did a year ago.

On another note, B.J. Upton is 13-for-29 in his last eight games and is now batting an even .200 for the season.
I couldn't believe they said that on the broadcast tonight, that this was the first time he's touched .200 this year. He's had decent stretches before this year a couple times this year, though, and then he's regressed, so we'll see if he can carry this into the playoffs. If so, that would be just wonderful. Not having Heyward limits the options (Gattis-Heyward-Upton, Upton-Schafer-Heyward) for a non-BJ outfield should he get ice cold again.

Those people would probably argue that two wrongs don't make a right.

God Harold Reynolds sucks.

He literally ruins the draft every year as well, I think he predicted about 20 players as the next Mike Trout in this past draft

He floated the idea that Billy Butler would be an MVP candidate in the NL.

Billy Butler is not even the most valuable player on his team.

And he's not in the NL.

Obviously, he was clearly using him as a comparison to make some sort of nonexistent point that the NL MVP race is so weak that if Butler played on an NL team he'd be in the conversation.

Trout is having a better offensive season this year. It's insane how good he is being only 22 and 2 years into his career. Trout is the best overall player in the league, IMO. I honestly thought he would never again do what he did last year but here he is basically repeating it.

I do think the MVP race is closer this year because Miggy is having a much better year than last year as well. Trout should have won it easily last year. It was silly to penalize him for his team not making the playoffs even though they actually won one more game than Detroit. This year? It's closer because Miggy is having a monster offensive season. As of right now, either of them winning would be fine. We all know that Cabrera will win it because he has much better teammates, regardless if that's fair or not.

Baseball is an individual sport masquerading as a team sport and Mike Trout is the best individual player in baseball two years running. He should have won the MVP last year and I would have no problem with him winning it this season. His future is blindingly bright.

Top 15 all time when said and done imo. Also Rays finally win a ****ing game and god damn did Fausto Roberto Hernandez look good as the long reliever.

39 pitches (29 strikes) 3.2ip 0 H 0 ER 0 BB 7K. He's going to be great as the long relief man so long as the rotation stabilizes.

Nice catch by Donaldson, haven't checked the stats but from watching a lot of A's games it does seem like he is playing gold caliber defense. However, I'm sure there are a few guys who are as well. Just crazy that he was a catcher a few seasons ago though.

Darvish/Parker in the rubber match should be good. it would be nice for the A's to finally win a series vs. Tex this season and have a share of 1st going into the rest of Sept.
