they are getting desperate.

this is the same team that let swisher, soriano, and martin walk.

now they're overpaying for a below average outfielder?

The Brewers have signed SP Kyle Lohse to a 3 Year/33 Million Dollar Contract.

The Brewers will also have to forfeit the 17th overall pick in this year's draft.

He finally got signed.

The Yankees could probably get the same production they'd get form Wells from a AAA player for a lot less money. I don't understand the move at all. Wells is absolutely terrible.

A lot of people are comparing this move to the Jeff Suppan deal a few years ago. Another ex-Cardinal who signs with Milwaukee and he failed terribly with them. I think everyone knows Lohse won't repeat his production from last year, but he's been an above average pitcher in the NL last couple of years and has the ability to be stabilize that rotation. 33 million over 3 is about what he's worth. And if somehow he continues pitching well, MIL may be best serve to trade him even in this offseason for pieces that can equate to a better than first round value at the trade deadline. Pitchers will continue to be in high-demand and someone will pay for him and his contract...

The Blue Jays have sent SP Ricky Romero to their High A team. I guess they want to let him work his shit out in the Minors - he's been absolutely horrible this spring. He just doesn't know how to throw strikes anymore.

Read a good article about Wally Joyner (who is the Phils new asst hitting coach) and how he's helped Dom Brown this spring. 7 home runs and a .373 average. Brown and Revere have me excited as well as Utley and Howard's early play. Hoping to bump either WAS or ATL out of one of those top spots.

Johan Santana has re-torn his left shoulder. This is the same injury that cost him nearly two years. If he needs surgery he'll miss the whole year. He's set to make 25.5 Million Dollars this year and his contract isn't insured.

his stuff turned out to be more average than what I remember scouts saying his stuff was when he was coming up. So, if he is not able to locate pitches than it is a recipe for disaster. With that being said, how much of it is a confidence issues as well. Seems like he pitched well at times last year but still couldn't get a win due to poor run production. Hopefully he gets his ish sorted out though.

The Verlander extension is a 5 Year/140 Million Dollar Extension, Add the Two remaining years of his current deal and the deal goes to 7 Year/180 Million, add the option year and the deal can total 202 Million.

Also, Heyman is reporting that the Giants are in serious talks with Buster Posey about an extension. He says it could be a 10 year extension. But who knows.

The funny thing is that if the Mets had let him go to the WBC, they would have paid his salary for the year, since they could claim it happened during his time there.
