I hope the Cards can just end this series and be rested and ready with their rotation to take down Boston (or Detroit, I guess).

Pete Kozma intentionally walked twice in a game. Mind-boggling. Only in the NL.

This is ugly. This same Cards team better show up for the World Series or I will be severely disappointed if Boston gets a freebie.

So? You're still trying to disqualify a guy in the MVP race by a playoff performance. Meanwhile Trout is nowhere to be seen in the scene. Keep wording the same sh1t differently. Argue on regular season play which is where both players are measured for MVP. Speculating on Trouts post-season play is childish and stupid to say the least. You can not argue that - simply put. Whether you dislike Cabrera or genuinely believe that Trout is the MVP is another story.

Boston would have beaten us with Don as our coach. I could care less who the Cards get now. I wanted the Tigers for the Dodgers. So that should say everything that needs to be said about who I want the Cards to face. Bottom line, the best team will win.

I didn't say the playoff game discredited his season anywhere in any post. I just pointed out that it was an extra shitty performance. 2 of his biggest glaring weaknesses were on display in that game that make me not like him for MVP. His fielding and his base running are pretty crappy healthy or hurt. And I, like Qwyjibo believe Trout is the better player and the MVP.

Yeah, maybe some day Trout will lead his team to the playoffs.

Maybe one day he'll be on a team with a pitching rotation with two legitimate aces and two other legit mid rotation starters.

Either way, he's still the best individual player in baseball and probably will be for quite some time.

Don't like STL, but gotta admire their consistency and ability to keep the ball rolling regardless of personnel losses. Something to strive for.
