Braves left no doubt to today's game. Jumped on the Nats 3-0 in the 1st inning and never looked back, winning 9-0. Justin Upton homered again, Gattis had 2 more RBI's, and B.J. Upton even came up with 2 hits. Oh, and Paul Maholm had his 3rd really good start in row. He's up to 20.1 IP on the season, 0.00 ERA, 11 H, 5 BB, and 20 SO.
11-1 on the season and just swept the Nationals in D.C. The coming back down to earth portion of the early season is looming in the next week or two, but the ride has been fun so far.
And that inning pretty much sums up what makes the Braves so dangerous this year There's going to be a ton of strikeouts, and some ugly games where they don't get a lot of hits or runs because they swing and miss all night.
One out in the bottom of the 8th, tied 2-2, and Heyward and Justin Upton go back-to-back, Gattis flies out, and Uggla hits a homer to make it 5-2. So much power in the lineup as is, and that's with Freeman and McCann on the DL.
