Anyone on here play the MLB "beat the streak" game? I'm up to 12 games. Votto/Cano/Posey/Ortiz, etc usually seem like safe bets. That, or whomever is facing the Astros/Marlins/Cubs, if the aforementioned guys are off. I usually always "double up"

Just another example of the shit show Gonzalez is running. Letting a rookie with a month in the Show swing 3-0 with a runner on first and one out. That is absolutely appalling. He swung at ball four on 3-0 and then 3-2 to strike out by the way, but that's not even the point. Guy isn't even in scoring position and we're taking 3-0 hacks? God it pisses me off.

What's more, who the f*ck does Evan Gattis think he is? Mother****er was cleaning bathrooms two years ago and he has the f*cking balls to swing 3-0 in the Show? No, just no. You are a NOBODY. You DON'T swing at 3-0 pitches, you haven't come even f*cking CLOSE to earning that privilege!

The Braves do not f*cking respect the game. My God it's hard to root for a team that doesn't play the game the right way.

The Rays ****ing bullpen. Awful. The offense is finally doing well and these bums can't hold a ****ing lead.

Last two games have been pathetic for a MLB club. Blowing a 4 run lead is bad enough, but 7 runs? That's another level of ineptitude.

F*cking Kimbrel figuring out between D-Wright and Mesoraco that big league hitters can hit 96 down Broadway if they know it's coming.

The Jays position players finally pulled their heads out of their asses and started making solid contact and having smarter at-bats.

But McGee totally blew it for the Rays tonight. His only job is to get lefties out and he got drilled by two lefty hitters that have gigantic platoon splits.

Pedro Alvarez is so bad.

BJ Upton is giving Braves fan a small taste of what I've been feeling for the past 3 years.

What a win by the Reds last night! They looked so lifeless, but got that unexpected shot in the arm they needed, against one of the best closers in the business.

Braves hitters were very patient and worked the count against Bailey in the 1st. Bailey's final stat line didn't look good, but they really started hacking away after that inning, and I felt as if they could have tapped into the bullpen early, had they continued the patient approach.

I doubled up yesterday. Ortiz came through, but Cano's 0-4 puts me right back at zero. Thought he was a safe bet going into their game against a pitcher with a bad ERA.

I'm at 24 right now. My tips:
Avoid picking a lonestar, ie Pedroia is 5-6 against a player but none of his teammates have had success
Ignore ERA
Hitter's career vs pitcher, month average, average at home/away, left/right
Pick Pedroia and Cabrera a lot (21-21 with them)
Pick against Houston, 11/24 played against Houston
Impact players, not flavor of the month players

That's really not their style. Impressive because it takes at least 3 pitches to strike out - you'd think that they'd be able to run up some counts.

That's the second time this year Kimbrel's blown a save by getting himself into a 3-2 count, thrown 97 down the middle, and got mashed. D-Wright hit one that probably is just landing now.
