The west is much worse for a hitter because every park but Texas is an extreme pitchers park.(one reason why rangers hitters home road splits will always look worse than normal, yes tbia is a hitters park but it's also that the other 3 parks are among the 10 best pitchers parks in baseball) given the unbalanced schedule, you don't want to spend over 100 games playing in Seattle, Anaheim and Oakland.
I wasn't speaking of which divisions were the worst to hit in, I meant that the divisions as a whole are a bitch to play in. They're two very competitive divisions, while the central is lacking.
The deal that was agreed upon before Upton rejected it was:
Mariners send SS Nick Franklin, LHP Charlie Furbush, RHP Stephen Pryor and one of Danny Hultzen, Taijuan Walker or James Paxton to the D-Backs for Upton.
Also, it's now being reported that the Rangers have moved on from trying to acquire Justin Upton after their final offer was turned down today by the D-Backs.
I'm not suspicious but some writers say he showed up to spring training one year 30 lbs lighter. Of course this is all completely unfair but it is what it is.
It's totally unfair that every single power hitter in that era (save for Thome and maybe Frank Thomas) is suspected of using Steroids. It sucks because Bagwell is a HOF and there's no basis for any suspicion.
I understand what you mean but that's crap. He wasn't on the Mitchell report and he's never even been accused by anyone
Of course it's crap but this is what that era did to people. There are some writers who won't vote anyone in from that era. A few writers left their ballots completely blank for this past hall of fame vote, didn't check yes, didn't check no, just blank.

Jim Thome, Frank Thomas and Ken Griffey Jr. are the only power hitters that come to mind that aren't suspected of using steroids. I think they'll all get in.
