JP Arencibia might be the worst player in the entire league.

At least when it comes to players who get regular playing time. Seriously, is there anyone worse?

I was about to slide in a snide remark about him fitting right in the ATL Braves lineup until I actually looked at this:

2 walks, 54 strikeouts? How is that even possible? The guy makes Jeff Francoeur look like Stan Musial.

Normally when you have a catcher like that, he's the backup who just fields really well. JPA is terrible on defense too.

Basically, his routine is just swinging the bat as hard as possible when the ball comes close.

Liriano has been great since returning from the DL. Exactly what our rotation needed. Hopefully he can maintain a high level of performance over the entire season.

Funny that you guys were talking about the smartest hitter in baseball. Today Peter Gammons was on Mike Francessa, and he said the smartest hitter was Cabrera, and he started asking GMs for their answer to the question, and he stopped at 10 because they all had the same exact answer.

As miserable as this Jays season has been so far, I fucking love Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion. Two very good hitters, signed to long-term at a silly team-friendly price. I enjoy every time these two come up to the plate.

He's doing great. He'd actually deserve the MVP this time around (so far).

I don't see how a triple crown winner who got his team to the playoffs with great play in key games late in the season didn't deserve it.

MLB Umpires are f'kin' morons. Brett Lawrie had TWO brutal strikes against him. and then a third one that was called a strike which would normally be called a ball but since Brett walked away from the plate after the second strike call, he called the third one a strike too. So he puts the helmet and the bat down and throws his glove in the same direction and he throws Lawrie out. All because of his ego.

EDIT - Brett had no idea he had been thrown out because he walked away without saying anything to the ump. He was walking to third base when he was being thrown out...
