Also, Manny Machado has 38 Doubles this season. I wouldn't be surprised if he broke the doubles record.

What a damn stud Machado is, already a superstar. Insanely good hitter and probably is already the best defensive third baseman in the game (just off eye test - haven't looked at his defensive metrics). He'll even be better and have more value when some of those doubles start turning into HR's and if he moves back to shortstop.

Without looking at his metrics I have a really really hard time believing he's a better defensive 3b then beltre. Beltre is the best defensive 3b ever with the possible exception of Robinson whom I obviously didn't see

Forgot about Beltre. Beltre is the best in the game, but damn Machado is good.

Yeah machado is good. Baseball is in a great spot right now. All the tv money is flowing in and I can't remember a more ridiculous influx of young talent, and the most talented one of them all might still be in the minors. I can't wait for buxton to come up.

I don't like all this Orioles love here.

Fuck them and may Machado and Davis both tear their ACL.

Yep. Baseball is definitely thriving.

Three superstars in their early 20's (Trout, Harper, Machado) and a guy in the minors who has the potential to be better than all three of them in Buxton. It's definitely an exciting time for baseball.

While Jameson Taillon still might turn into an ace and he has massive talent, it's hard not to wish as a Pirates fan that they took Machado over Taillon in that draft, Machado would look real good manning shortstop for the Pirates right now.

No mention for Pedroia as best 2B in baseball? He is elite offensively and defensively.

You seem to be someone that would really know this kind of stuff, but when's the last time the game saw such a quick influx of insane young talent like this? I mean we've already got really young guys like Trout, Harper, and Machado, in just their first or second season, who are already studs and among the best overall players at their position, if not the best.

I honestly can't think of a group that was this good both ways. The closest I can think of off the top of my head would be when the holy trinity of short stops in the late 90s.

After all this, if the Pirates STILL don't finish over .500, the fans should riot, and throw the team brass over one of the numerous bridges they have in the city there.

The Yankees were getting lucky with awful players playing way over their heads earlier on. They've all finally turned into pumpkins again. Talent wins out in the end and Yankees just have too many injuries right now.
