He won a superbowl playing like a statistical monster and his 2005 playoff run was better than any of Manning's playoff runs. Manning relied heavily on defense in 2006, he had like 7-9 TD/INT ratio in that run.

Brady is more clutch, not an opinion, it's a fact.

He also had the SB MVP award and the clutch pass to set up the game-winning FG with no time left. Now which Patriot was better that season?

He was coming off injury, was way past his prime, and took the Chiefs farther than they had been in almost 2 decades. No one who actually watched back then thinks that Montana struggled with the Chiefs.

If they were putting up more points, maybe they wouldn't be constantly putting the defense in that position. It was the problem yesterday. Manning had a lot of chances to put away the game and not put the defense in the position. The defense actually did a good job forcing the Ravens to punt, but Peyton never took advantage of it.

I didn't ignore his games previous to '05. I clearly said he played bad and deserves critcism for those.

Did I not say that?

I'm just going to say this, like I say all the time in here, it's a team sport and obviously the Denver D deserves some blame for giving up so many popints...Champ was getting toasted all day by Smith...would have been even worse if Flacco actually connected on half of them.

you CAN NOT pin the entire loss on that last INT just based on what time period of the game the INT took place.

to me Peyton was 28/43, 290 yards with 3 TDs and 2 INT...which isn't that great really but not horrible either.

I only said Montana struggled as a comparison with Brady. Some posters were claiming that Brady has been off the past couple of seasons despite making two SB's, if that's considered struggling then Montana and almost every other QB is considered struggling as well.. I agree with you that Montana did a great job with KC.

How does a thread about Peyton Manning mutate into Brady vs. Montana? Can we please get back to discussing how Peyton is a girl's name?

Manning is just a better version of Favre if you think about it.

Based on what? Favre was a risk-taking gunslinger with a cannon arm that extended plays with his legs. Manning is cerebral and immobile. Did you really see Favre play?

He's Favre in a sense that he sucks and loses in the playoffs.

The irony being you're talking about two SB Champions. I like to trash Manning but you have to do it within reason.

Wasn't RG just on Peyton's nuts earlier this week?

Aren't they the #1 and #2 playoff losers of all-time?
