Re: Tom Brady Moves Ever Closer To Becoming The GOAT Quarterback
its amazing you make this thread after his team loses the super bowl. let me guess, you feel as if he won't win another super bowl right? well he won't, if he keeps having to play the giants in it
Re: The Stats Proove That Tom Brady Moves Ever Closer To Becoming The GOAT Quarterback
SPYGATE
All of these numbers are flawed to me. There is no denying he is a great quarterback but no one will ever know how much the cheating helped him to get these numbers.
He will never be the GOAT in my book. Ever.
Zero respect for Belichick either. Grade A Asshole.
0-2 post-Spygate record for the cheating Patriot cheater assholes
Re: The Stats Proove That Tom Brady Moves Ever Closer To Becoming The GOAT Quarterback
I love it how people make it out like making it all the way to the superbowl and losing is somehow worse than either not making the playoffs or LOSING before you get to the superbowl. How is say Montana losing in the NFC Championship game ok, but Brady losing in the superbowl a black spot on his record?
And what a joke that people are making it out like since 'spygate' the Patriots haven't done aything. They have had the only perfect 16-0 regular season ever, been one of only 3 teams to make multiple superbowl appearances in that timeframe, and Belichick even coached them to 11-5 when Brady was hurt for a season. Not to mention, this is a compltely different team than the ones that won the championships in the early 2000's, they only have a couple players that were there then, other wise they completely rebuilt and are again in the superbowl.
People just want to hate. If spygate legitimately bothers you then you should listen to interviews with Bill Parcels and Jimmy Johnson and you'll realize that every single team does the same type of stuff.

The Steelers cheated in the '70s by using steroids. Both the team and the NFL later admitted this was true.
The 49ers cheated in the '80s by using illegal procedures to cheat on the roster rules. The NFL fined the 49ers for this later on, and the team's owner was pretty much disgraced by it.
The Cowboys filmed practice sessions in the '90s, just like the Patriots did later on. Both the Cowboys and the NFL would admit this after Spygate.
So, using your logic and criteria, every great team from the previous 4 decades should have an asterisk next to all their titles, and Montana should have one next to all his as well.
Seriously, grow up.

He lost in the first playoff game 49-3, to the New York Giants in '86.
He lost in the first playoff game 36-24, to the Minnesota Vikings in '87.
If he is so much different than Tom Brady, then how come his major playoff nemesis was the New York Giants? And why did he and his team play a lot worse against them in the playoffs, than Tom Brady and the Patriots did?
If he is so much different than Tom Brady, then why did the 49ers get punished by the league, years after the fact, for cheating on the roster rules?
I am a 49ers fan and a Joe Montana fan since I was a kid, but he has gotten overrated these days by all of these rose colored glasses wearing revisionist historians.
He even had Jerry Rice, the GOAT wide receiver for 6 seasons, and managed just 2 championships in that time.
Montana is still the GOAT at the moment, but revisionist history, created by Tom Brady haters, has made him out to be a hell of a lot better than he actually was.

Basically, if you're an all time great quarterback, you never want to play the Giants in the playoffs.
