Not a comment about the totality of their career. Just about their play at this point in their career.

It's most certainly a team game - WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY - I commonly argue wins/losses and not stats like you do. You making the statement "it's a team game" respectively contradicts your typical arguments of a QB having a 5k yard season, 40 TD season, career QBR of 93%; because all of these things don't mean jack shit if you're not A: in the playoffs and B: going deep in the playoffs.

I can see Stafford having multiple 5k yard seasons throughout his career, but the Lions might miss the playoffs. So what's the value in that exactly?

I guess it's a good thing that Manning didn't have an MVP caliber season this year.

"But dude, I'm only talking about that 1 playoff game! Or maybe just that 1 interception Manning threw? I don't know, I'm confused."

football media and coaches are so conservative they undermine the game changing dynamics a running qb brings to the game and elevate the importance of a pocket quarterback in contrast.
Exactly how many of the last, say, 50 QBs to win an SB weren't pocket passers? Shut up. The ability to run is a nice asset but it's not the bread and butter for a real QB. And injecting race into your dumbassery isn't helping.

The totality of your commentary is stupidity.

It's a team game, but the QB is by far the most important piece. There is no other position in sports in which a player makes as many critical decisions as an NFL QB.

Flacco deserves credit for his win but W/L is still a shit stat. What if Brady didn't choke and scored 40 points? Is Flacco's performance lessened because his D sucked and lost?

it was hard for the brothas to compete in that position when we weren't even allowed to drink from that fountain. With MLK day just a few hours away I would think you be more sensitive.

People like you have this impression that the qb must be played in a certain way because it self serves the entrenchment of the classic 6ft4 white boy in the position. when in actuality mobile brothas can do what they do and MORE.

That doesn't make sense to me. How can you admit it's a team game, then say that is exactly why you argue wins/loses for QB's?

The QB can only do his part. If Flacco played awesome and didn't win because the rest of his team didn't make the plays, I wouldn't value Flacco any more or any less because of the outcome of the game.

Like last year. Flacco did his job vs. Patriots....but they lost. I valued his performance for what it was, not what the outcome of the game was.

What a disgrace you are

Niners defense is the best defense in the league and did a great job against the two high scoring teams Packers and Falcons coming up with crucial stops unlike the Broncos or Pats defense.

Niners running game always made big plays when it mattered unlike the Broncos and Pats running game which was completely non existent.

But yeah Kaep >> Brady or Manning

I believe Kaeap is a fantastic Quarter back who thrives under pressure but stop making us hate him!

I figured that "God" comment would rub some people the wrong way or prompt some sarcastic remarks from normal humble atheists (such as yourself). I don't mean that to be offensive. I'm sure many fans watching around the league completely rolled their eyes, or said something to the effect of "OH BUT YOU'VE BEATEN A MURDER CHARGE YOU HYPOCRITICAL SON OF A BITCH! - LOL, whatever it takes to offset a comment or credit given to God. Simply doesn't sit well with some people.

If Ray Lewis or anyone else wants to give credit to God, or if a kicker, receiver RB or whomever wants to "point to the sky" after they achieve a field goal, then IMO, THANK GOD they're comfortable enough in their faith and love our Creator enough to not worry about your typical atheist (and I don't mean you, don't take it the wrong way) taking notice and being a smart ass, or even in some cases with more extreme atheists just being disgusted with what Ray Lewis had to say.

No, it was 100% the defense and Ray Rice. Don't get shit twisted.

You can limit QBs a great deal. A ball control offense can have your QB standing on the sidelines watching for most of the game. Yeah, the QB is the single most important position, but there's a ton of other positions out there. It's not 1 on 1, 2 on 2 or even 5 on 5, but it's 11 on 11. Outside of the QB, there's 21 other effing guys out there on a given play, and at times there's 22 non-QBs out there. But whatever, people will continue to overstate and overglorify QBs all the time and people who should get praise and credit will continue to be ignored.

Sensitive to what? King getting shot 45 years ago somehow justifies you running your mouth and saying stupid shit just because you think it's pro-black? Your racist commentary is what really disrespects his memory and I am annoyed that you use the celebration of a great man's birthday as an excuse to be a stupid asshole.

Don't you get tired of being stupid? Reading your post is like watching a Five Percenter try to analyze football. I'm not basing my opinion on race. Unlike you, I base my opinion on what works. That's why I asked how many of the last 50 SB winners didn't have a pocket passer at QB? You are trying to disregard what we've learned from the entire history of football because a mixed-race QB that himself would not be effective i he couldn't pass from the pocket is making a Superowl. Get over your stupid racist agenda and realize that the most important ability for a quarterback is the ability to pass.
