Teams play the option run wrong. When the QB runs and is out there as a blocker or pitches the ball, and you are behind the play, level the QB. EVERY time. Anytime Kaepernick is out there as a blocker, even behind the play anyone who is away from the play should run to engage him. He's blocking, he's fair game.
QB's are judged by wins and loses. It's just the way it is. We have to live with it whether we like it or not.

You're just butthurt than people dare mention Peyton isn't as fantastic in the playoffs. Welcome to reality. QB's are ultimately rated on wins and losses, otherwise why are you watching the game? Why not just check the stats post game and see who is better?

I understand your point but that won't stop the read option and it might just draw drive killing penalties. The read option is a staple in many highschool and college teams and it's all about the ends. Both ends basically need to attack/pursuit a shoulder of the QB and meet at the mesh point. It there's an option there needs to be a linebacker to get the back while the end usually gets the QB.
Penetration and containment should stop the read option..
