They're basically in the same position as my Knicks yet the Heat get no slack at all. Oh yeah & don't give me none of that "They're saving their legs for the playoffs BS" , "They're not motivated yet", etc.
They are 5-5 in their last 10 games, losing 5 of their last 9. Only an 8-8 road team (Milwaukee is 9-8, Chicago 10-5, Knicks 10-8) They're also only 11-7 in conference games which is pretty bad for a team that should be dominant in the weak East. Oh& Miami would be the 4th best team in the West right now.
Now looking at the losses.. they've lost to the Knicks twice, Memphis, Clippers, Washington (WTF), Golden State, Detroit (WTF), Milwaukee, Chicago, Indiana, Portland
Notice a trend? Most of the teams that they've lost to are pretty good teams and well over .500. The Heat are only 11-9 against teams who own a record over .500.
They have glaring holes at the PG & C position, I can guarantee you their not gonna win a championship with Bosh playing Center. That only worked against OKC cause they don't have any low post presence.
Oh & look at that they're down 15 at the half to the Jazz.
IF the Heat make the finals they better pray that they go up against OKC again & not the Spurs, Clippers, or even Grizzlies cause they'll struggle mightily.
.... & here come the "THEY WON A RING THEY CAN TAKE THE SEASON OFF WTF U TALKING BOUT" remarks from Heat "fans".
You have the same team that won the finals last year with the addition of the greatest 3 pt shooter of all time
It doesn't help when every opponents you face is constantly having the games of their life too. E.g. the jazz shooting like 68% in the half.
This is how every team has been playing the Lakers for more than 1 decade now. Not an easy task to stay on the top. Only a few elite* still have the hunger after a chip. Even the Spurs have never been able to repeat.
