They're doing this because Adam Silver is pro jersey advertisement and this gives them more ad space

If there are advertisements on jerseys, then there should be no commercials. That's how soccer does it. Get with it. Last thing I wanna see is Dr Pepper symbol at mid court with a doritos logo on the jerseys and still 17 minutes of commercials an hour.

I agree 100% but I highly doubt the NBA does this. They'll probably cut down on commercials somewhat (Silver is also a proponent of shorter broadcast times) but certainly not entirely. Maybe eliminate two TV timeouts or lessen coaches TO's
