Notre Dame is completely backing the he was hoaxed take. Claims private investigators had documented online chatter from the perpetrators talking about their ruse

@EmilyNoonan Let this be a warning to any girl who thinks ab dating Te'o. If you get a terminal disease he won't visit you. Or go to your funeral. #catch

I think you're overreacting. If he shows up to the combine and does well I don't see his stock getting that big of a hit. I don't think he'll have a chance of being a top 15 pick(judging by some mocks) because of the incident but I wouldn't label him a psycho but the situation is just extremely embarrassing.. Teams like press as long as it isn't bad press, teams have selected terrible characters before, teams have signed players coming off of jails, teams have had murderers on their teams, etc.. If he's talented he'll get drafted and high
Re: Deadspin: Manti Te’o’s Dead Girlfriend is a hoax
Does anyone think Te'o did this stint for publicity? What's a better story then having a great season after your "GF" and gradmother dieing? He's young, naive, probably a dumb jock(I know ND is a great school) and he probably thought this would elevate him to being one of the most liked athletes in the country..
