Hawks without Lou Williams who is tragically out for the season with an ACL tear. Spurs with no Ginobili or Duncan tonight. Shoult turn out to be a good, close game.
12-11 Spurs right now half way through the first quarter.
no Duncan and Ginobili makes this Spurs team similar to the one we may see in the near future (1-2 years). Would like to see Kawhi and Splitter put their mark on this game.
Hopefully Kawhi ends the game with anywhere from 10-15 shot attempts. Pop really needs to take advantage of this opportunity and let Kawhi's role grow in the offense.
This is the Kyle Korver vs. Matt Bonner show right now. It's raining long distance shots for both of them.
For the Hawks I don't understand playing Horford, Zaza and Josh at the same time. If I was the coach I would refrain J-Smoove from shooting anything beyong 14-15 feet. He was doing great posting up Leonard in the 1st, and has just looks like he's not trying now.

Surely not...will it? Buford will strike gold in the draft again and/or make a savvy FA signing or two. If not, this would be a really average team, maybe even worse than that in the West. And it's not like Parker is just in the early or middle stages of his prime.
I don't know, I just can't see the Spurs not being at least somewhat competitive and a playoff team. I think Buford will get something done within the next few years to shore up the roster after the Duncan/Manu/Parker era.
Atlanta scored to take a 61-60 lead and in like 60-90 seconds the Spurs push their lead back out to 7 at 68-61.
That's been the pattern for this game. Spurs get a 7 to 10 point lead, Hawks come back, Spurs get decent lead again, Hawks come back, Spurs go on a little run, Hawks come back.
