Default Chances the Lakers make a move by trade deadline?

Obviously Pau is the only piece to move

Was gonna say, what moves? Paul and maybe Artest are the only pieces people would be looking at...unless Mitch has crazy self-destruct plans in place to shop Dwight.

If this season goes much further down the shitter, why bother moving pieces now? Just start over and get cap space with a coach who isn't functionally retarded.

Lakers are done. Losing to toronto In a close game spells a Team not ready for next step.

I think we make a move, a small move. It wont be a difference maker, but I think we get a new third string player. Ebanks and Sacre should be sent to the D-league...permanently.

At this point i'd even be excited for Sasha to come back. Scrappy Defense and hits the three. Would Mike D'Antoni play him? Who knows.

Pau's remaining contract

2011-12: $18,714,150.
2012-13: $19,000,000.
2013-14: $19,285,850.

That's gonna be tough to move.. It's not impossible, but I don't see many teams willing to pay that much for his services.

(BTW: FWIW, he is currently 32 yrs old. He will be 33 on 7/6/13)

You know the season is over for the Lakers when their fans say stuff like this

Pau is the only tradeable player.

And why would you trade him? He played good tonight, and can easily do what he did tonight when Dwight was out if he were to get the ball on a consistent basis.

I knew we were in too deep when we hired Mike Brown. I knew we were in even deeper when we hired Mike D'Antoni. I dont even respect those coaches as a fan, how can I expect the players to respect them?
