Re: To the dude who said LeBron has a better handle than Jordan
MJ had the better handle as well as pure skill in most areas.
Lebron wins in other areas though, and he doesn't lose that badly in most areas. The same can't really be said for any other non-big man besides Larry and Magic.
Re: To the dude who said LeBron has a better handle than Jordan
Jordan was a basketball player and athletically freak. Lebron is athletically freak and a basketball player. The sooner people realize this and accept it, the sooner they stop making retarded claims like Lebron having better handles than Jordan.

If you've grown up during the and-1 era you probably wouldn't be. MJ's handles were what I would call functional, alot of his ability to shake the defender was an assortment of head and shoulder shimmeys, fake one way and go the other, less about crossing the defender over 100 times trying to get open.
Re: To the dude who said LeBron has a better handle than Jordan
Lebron never had the tightest handle he just protects the ball well with this his bulk and strength. Jordan also never needed the flashiest handle he gets to every spot he needs quickly and with ease. All that flashy shit that cp3 and iverson do is only necessary because they are so much smaller

Lebron has never been a great dribbler. he's a great ball handler because of his ball security, size, and athleticism but he's not gonna be one to break a guy's ankle based purely on his skillful handles.

Whats the point of breaking someone's ankles when you can blow past them anytime you want? There isn't a player in the league they can stay in front of LeBron. You need a defensive anchor like Duncan, Chandler, etc. And im not even sure a zone will work that well now with Bron's upgraded post game.

I don't disagree. I think Lebron can get anywhere on the floor he wants to and that's why I said he's a great ball handler. But in term of pure dribbling and dribble moves he's never been elite in term of that specific skill. Magic was kind of the same way which makes sense since they are both 6ft8. It's not an indictment of Lebron's game. Jamal crawford probaly have the most pure handle of anyone in the league, it doesn't really mean much.
Re: To the dude who said LeBron has a better handle than Jordan
I think lebron can run the point position more legitimately than mj could, for what that's worth. his handle isn't flashy, but it's completely functional. mj did not dribble as much as lebron did.

All good. I don't think LeBron's handle is flashy either. Like you said, he protects the ball well, but don't expect him to do some And 1 s.hit. I remember reading a quote where he said his first step is average, its his 2nd step where he gets the steam to get past you. Guys like Iverson and CP3 had a nasty 1st step.

Im not sure who has a better handle between the two or anything like that. Handles were never anything I focused on. Just take care of the ball. But when running an offense, LeBron is definitely better at finding the open shooters.
