Why Does MLK Have His Own Holiday?
Seems a little much, doesn't it? I see no reason why kids or even some workers should get off for it.

Holidays like MLK day, Labor day, etc are the best. No gifts or BS celebrations or obligation. Just a free day off work.

The original purpose of a holiday was not to have the day off for no reason. It was meant to have the day off so you could attend ceremonies and other celebrations commemorating MLK. That's true with all patriotic holidays.
