Not true. A British woman successfully went through Royal Marines Commando training awhile back. She wasn't allowed to serve in the frontlines but she passed the course. The Canadians also had a woman in one of their "elite units" at one point and it was even mentioned on the official website but I can't find it now (she may be out; retired, ETS, or quit). Also, South Koreans have women in the 707th Special Missions Battalion. Though, I don't know how rigorous they are trained.

That said, seeing as how RASP, SFAS, or BUDS usually have 20-30% passing rates amongst men, I imagine it'd be drastically lower for females (like, 1-5%). That doesn't even factor people making it in but quitting after six months because they can't handle the life.

If a women can make it through the training, I have no problem with them serving on the front line or on elite squadrons.

All the extremist groups have been moving to Africa over the past decade... because "nobody cares about Africa".

The draft and the idea of Americans truly being free do not match up. Essentially, it is the government saying they own us and they can make us work for them if they want.

They showed a clip of Tammy Duckworth who just got elected to Congress, she was a Blackhawk helicopter pilot who lost both legs in Iraq when an RPG hit her helicopter.

They also talked to a ex-captain who said her career in the military stalled because jobs were closed to her. She specifically mentioned intelligence positions, not infantry. She spoke Arabic and I think Dari and was well qualified for the position. She eventually left the service because she felt she wouldn't be able to advance.

Part this is the success we have been having against Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen.

The most dangerous segment of Al-Qaeda became the one Yemen, because so much damage was being done in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Tammy should wear pants. Or upgrade to the deluxe models. I think she's just rubbing our faces in it.

I watched that segment last night. Maddow made me change my mind. They should make the standards equal across the board and let women compete for these spots.

female police officers allways seem to be much more evil and more horrible then male cops......i am sure there could be a few women that are better soldiers then some men that are in the army now

I saw the most ridiculous facebook status this evening...

this girl linked the allowing of females in combat to NK's announcement on their nuclear testing.

Quote:
North Korea confirms more long-range rocket test that, according to CNN, is " part of a new phase of confrontation with the United States." It's interesting that knowing this news, the U.S has also lifted the women in combat policy. Preparing for something? Hm. I don't know.
JUST EDUCATE YOURSELF.
